From Matlock

If you are coming up the hill from Matlock please stay on the main chesterfield road until you see an open field on your right hand side and just before this will be a sign for the Presentation Sister Convent. Mayfield Cottage over looks this field and the drive way is just after our garage which backs onto the road. Also on the left hand side of the road there is a large building upon which you will see a mirror which is the mirror you will use when coming out of the driveway. Once on the driveway you will see the gate which gives access to the private drive (No. 96). If you pass the cottage you will immediately see the Duke of Wellington Public House on the left hand side.

From Chesterfield

If you are coming from Chesterfield you will first see the Golf Club on your right hand side and this is followed by some houses. After the houses you will see the Duke of Wellington Public House on the right hand side of the road and just 50 yards after this is the driveway to Mayfield Cottage. On the right hand side of the road you will see a mirror on the building which is the mirror you will need to use when coming out of the driveway. Once on the driveway you will see the gate which gives access to the private drive (No. 96).
